2017-2018 UPWP Call for Project Partnerships

Transportation Planning Funding Available

GTC is now accepting applications for transportation planning funding requests through the 2017-2018 Unified Planning Work Program (UPWP).

The UPWP provides federal funds for transportation planning activities undertaken by GTC, its member agencies, and other municipalities throughout the nine-county Genesee-Finger Lakes Region. For the 2017-2018 fiscal year, which extends from April 1, 2017 to March 31, 2018, GTC expects approximately $750,000 of these funds to be available for planning projects.

Inner Loop East Project overview

Inner Loop East

The Inner Loop East Transformation Project is converting a sunken section of expressway to the east of Downtown to an at-grade "complete street," that will include bicycle and walking paths. The construction phase of the project started in November 2014 and is expected to be complete by December 2017.
